The Edit, in detail.

You’re here because you’re considering an Edit. Good. This is where the practical pieces live: what’s included, what it costs, how the process works, and what happens next.

The short version: you’ll get a clear styling plan built around your people, your setting, your comfort level, and the way you want the photos to feel.

No matching sweaters required.

The Philosophy

What you’re really getting.

The Edit is more than outfit links.

It’s the plan behind the whole frame: palette, mood, texture, comfort, setting, and the real people who have to wear the clothes.

Sometimes we start with a dress you already love. Sometimes it’s the photographer you’ve already booked. Sometimes it’s the kid who will only wear one pair of shoes.

We build from there.

The goal is not to make everyone look styled beyond recognition. The goal is to help everyone look like themselves, just clearer, more cohesive, and more alive in the frame.

The Investment

Three ways to begin.

Each Edit includes a clear styling direction, personalized recommendations, and a final plan so you know exactly what everyone is wearing and why it works.

Big idea. Real clothes. No costume department.

Every Edit includes the eye.

The scope changes by tier, but the point of view stays the same. Every Edit is built around making the whole thing feel considered without making it feel overworked.

01 — Palette + Mood

We start with the feeling before we start with the clothes. Color, setting, season, comfort, and energy become the starting point for the whole plan.

02 — Wardrobe Direction

You’ll receive specific outfit direction and shopping links so the pieces work together without everyone looking like they called ahead to coordinate.

03 — Real-Life Adjustments

Sizing, comfort, budget, existing pieces, timing, opinionated children, opinionated adults. All of it matters. The Edit works inside real life.

04 — Final Styling Plan

You’ll have one clear place to see what everyone is wearing, what still needs to be ordered, and how the looks work together.

05 — Photo Direction Notes

Where relevant, I’ll include notes on how the clothes work with the setting, movement, photographer style, and the final frame.

The photographer shapes the image. The styling helps the whole frame make sense.
Vibe. Edit. Refine. Show Up.
The Process

Four steps. No panic. You tell me the setting, the people, the photographer, the pieces you love, and the things no one is willing to wear. I build the Edit around what is real, we refine what needs refining, and you show up knowing exactly what everyone is wearing.

Before You Begin

Payment + timing.

A 50% deposit secures your spot on the calendar. The remaining balance is due before your final styling plan is delivered.

Because each Edit is built around your session date, timing matters. I recommend beginning as early as possible so there is room for shopping, shipping, try-ons, pivots, and the inevitable thing that arrives weird.

Payment Details

  • 50% deposit due at booking
  • Remaining balance due before final delivery
  • Additional refinement rounds available at $75 per round
  • Rush availability may be limited and may require an additional fee

A few boundaries, because clarity is kind.

The Edit gives you direction, links, and a plan. It does not include every service adjacent to getting photographed.

  • Purchasing clothing on your behalf
  • Managing returns or exchanges
  • Photographer fees
  • Photography services
  • Hair or makeup services
  • Tailoring costs
  • Unlimited revisions
  • Styling support outside the agreed scope

If something outside the scope would be helpful, we can talk about whether it makes sense to add it on.

Add-ons, when the session needs them.

Additional Refinement Round

$75 per round

For when we need one more pass after your included refinement rounds.

Photographer Matchmaking

Custom quote / add-on pricing TBD

A great photographer does more than take the picture. They shape the feeling of it: light, movement, editing, pace, direction, and how everyone feels in front of the camera.

When photographer guidance is part of the Edit, the goal is not finding the “best” photographer. It is finding the right photographer for the feeling.

Rush Edit

Subject to availability

For when the session is booked, the closet is open, and the plan is not planning.

Rush availability depends on timing, scope, and how quickly decisions need to happen. If available, rush pricing will be shared before booking.

FAQ

Do I have to buy everything new?

No. Often the best starting point is already in your closet: the favorite dress, the boots your kid will actually wear, the shirt your husband already likes.

We start with what makes sense, then fill in what’s missing.

Do you buy the clothes for me?

No. I provide direct shopping links and styling direction so you can purchase what works for your budget, timing, and comfort level.

What if someone refuses the outfit?

Then we pivot.

The goal is not to force people into clothes they hate. The goal is to make the styling work with real comfort levels, real personalities, and real people.

What if I already have a photographer?

Perfect. We’ll build with that in mind.

Different photographers shape images differently, so I’ll consider the photographer’s visual style when thinking through palette, texture, movement, and how the clothing will read in the final photos.

Is this only for family photos?

No. Family sessions are a common use, but the Edit can support maternity, couples, milestone sessions, travel, personal imagery, celebrations, or any real-life moment that needs clearer visual direction.

How far in advance should I book?

As early as you can. More time means more room for shipping, try-ons, edits, and pivots.

If your session is coming up quickly, inquire anyway. If there is room, we’ll figure out what level of support makes sense.

What happens after I inquire?

I’ll review your inquiry, confirm availability, and recommend the best Edit for your session. If it feels like a fit, you’ll receive next steps to book and begin.
